3. Draws up studies for the execution of works, supervises their execution in accordance with the provisions in effect at the time, and is responsible for their handover.
4. Draws up and updates the planning of expansion and upgrading of the hospital’s technical infrastructure and equipment.
5. Is responsible for the execution of projects for the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the mechanical, electrical and refrigeration facilities of the hospital and the procurement of the necessary equipment and materials.
6. It is responsible for the smooth operation of the electrical installations, gas supply, anesthesia supply facilities in the operating rooms and generally for the smooth operation of the technological installations.
7. Supervises the proper operation, repairs and maintenance of the telephone center and telephone sets, megaphone facilities, television signal production and distribution facilities, staff intercom and call facilities, remote control and lighting control facilities, fire safety.
8. Supervise the proper operation and maintenance of the hospital’s backup generators.
9. Supervises and maintains the grounding and lightning protection installations. Ensures the effective operation of fire detection and fire safety systems.
10. Monitors and controls the smooth distribution of electricity to the hospital on a 24-hour basis.
11. Has the responsibility of maintaining the hospital vehicles.
12. Is responsible for implementing the energy policy of the hospital. It monitors energy and fuel consumption and prepares studies to optimize the efficiency of the hospital’s energy systems.

It is responsible for:
1. Rational use and smooth operation of the technical support of the hospital’s medical equipment and consumables for them.
2. Ensuring the quality of services by international standards and safety rules.
3. Ensuring safe and efficient machinery operation and adherence to international standards of safety and protection of patients and staff including radiotherapy.
4. Carrying out preventative and reparative maintenance of medical equipment machinery, drafting maintenance contracts, and overseeing their fulfillment.
5. Monitoring technological developments in biomedical technology and examining their incorporation in the hospital’s practices.
6. Managing and investigating adverse incidents related to medical equipment.
7. Informing and training the hospital staff in the safe and efficient operation of medical equipment and training the department staff in the maintenance of medical equipment.
8. Inventory, archiving, and monitoring of equipment and technological support of related research projects.
