This department is in charge of carrying out the necessary actions to ensure:

• Monitoring for the smooth operation of all installed applications, the monitoring for the best possible utilization of people and systems as well as the continuous monitoring and updating of the management on the integration and implementation rates of the various processes.
• The development of new applications in the business program, based on the strategic objectives of the Hospital and its specific operational needs.
• Sustainability and expansion of the Laboratory Information System (L.I.S.).
• Sustainability and expansion of the Medical Image Archiving & Imaging System (P.A.C.S).
• Decision Support (Refers to the environments that help employees and especially senior managers to make decisions based on the data drawn from the hospital’s database).
• Advanced Office Systems.

This department is responsible for the daily, immediate, and continuous support of the proper functioning of the computer and network systems that makes up the Hospital’s information system. This requirement relates to all matters relating to the proper maintenance, security, and control of the systems, information security, management of shared computer system resources.

This department is in charge of technical support, such as:

• The maintenance of computers, printers, scanners, routers purchased by the Hospital and on-site maintenance of peripherals and computer systems
• The management of network performance
• The installation and maintenance of network performance and internal network communication
• The installation of any new application and their start-up

This department is responsible for the training of Hospital employees in IT matters, only for applications developed and implemented within the Hospital.
