The ICU of ANTH “THEAGENEIO” is the 1st ICU in Northern Greece since 1977 (25-02-1977 No. 1551)
Intensive Care is specialized to medical and nursing care, provided to patients whose life is threatened due to serious illness or injury.
Today, this type of care is provided in specially designed areas of tertiary or quaternary hospitals, the intensive care units (ICUs).
A prerequisite is the availability of modern technological equipment necessary to support vital functions of the human body, such as breathing, heart function, kidneys, etc.
